LIFEGUARD 10 TRAINING
Recently, members of both the
Covington Rescue Squad and the
Covington Fire Department were introduced to LifeGuard 10's newest
helicopter.
Below are some pictures from
that training session.
The biggest difference between the older helicopters and the new ones are they way you load a patient — in the old helicopters, you loaded a patient on the side of the unit. Now, you load the patient from the rear.
The in-service was held to introduce EMS and fire providers to the new helicopter, address new safety issues and go over changes in setting up a landing zone site.
